Supersize vs. Superskinny

Welcome to Supersize vs. Superskinny

The Gist of It

This challenge is based off of a U.K. show that I have never seen. Apparently two contestants (one obese and one anorexic skinny) live in a house and must work towards getting to "normal" size. Talk about body shaming!

  • Create the largest YA sim you can (any gender and looks) with couch potato and any other personality traits you would like
  • Create the skinniest YA sim you can (any gender and looks) with vegetarian and any other personality traits you would like
  • Move them into a house together
  • They must eat all of their meals together
    • Super Skinny Sim must eat two servings of the meal plus a quick meal
    • Supersize Sim must eat only half of their meal
  • When not eating
    • Super Skinny Sim must be watching tv, playing video games, or playing on the computer
    • Supersize Sim must be working out and doing other activities to promote a healthy lifestyle
  • Continue this until both sims have reached "normal" weight
My Game Play

I did randomize in create-a-sim and modified the specs from there.

Jenna is my "Supersize" character. Her randomized traits include charismatic, artistic, loves the outdoors, and natural cook. Of course she also has the couch potato trait. Don is my superskinny character. He is a technophobe, book worm, athletic, neat, and of course a vegetarian.

I got them moved into a house and got to work. The day for Don went like this: Sleep, play video games, eat, play video games, eat, play video games, eat, sleep. Jenna's day was: work out, eat halfway, work out, eat half way, work out, eat halfway, work out sleep. In between her fatigues I had her learn the cooking skill.

Don throwing a fit because I told him to eat again. There were quite a few of these.

It took about two sims day to get Jenna down to "normal". It took a little longer to get Don to "normal"/borderline chubby.

And Bob's your uncle ;)

The review:

Just about everyone dreams of being on their favorite tv shows. How many people try out for American Idol? For most of us the closest we get is through the sims. This is the first tv based challenge on the forum so it is a bit premature. Not to mention the basis of it (and the original tv show). This challenge is 8 years old so our society has morphed a bit more into the body acceptance culture.

Fun: 1/5. You eat, sleep, and work out or eat, sleep, be a couch potato. Not much variety
Difficulty: Easy.  It's self explanatory and you can finish quickly.
Time frame: Afternoon. This takes only about 4-7 sims day to complete.
Playability: 4/5. Easy to follow the rules and reach your goals but very dull

Overall rating: 1.5/5
